
Activists and doctors clash over repeal of school vaccine mandates

BEMIDJI, Minn. (KFGO) Bemidji Police say they disarmed a woman yesterday that was openly carrying around a rifle in the middle of town Thursday night. Police say the woman was emotional, refused to put the gun down and would not listen to officer commands. Because she was near residential areas, the city park, and businesses, police set up a perimeter and began to try and de-escalate. Officers took the gun away from the woman without using force, she was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji to be evaluated. The case has been handed over to the Beltrami County Attorney s Office to review if any charges could be filed. The call came in just after 6 p.m.
