A 32-year-old Broward man has been arrested after police said he tried to kidnap a 13-year-old from a gas station on Monday.According to information provided by the Miramar Police Department, officers were called to the Shell gas station at 2840 S. State Road 7 in Miramar to investigate reports of a possible attempted kidnapping.Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss said the girl was walking to her home when the incident happened. He said, "This guy walks next to the child and suddenly puts his arm around the child and puts the kid in a headlock, and that child starts screaming, and she broke free and ran into one of our business locations where help was available."Police said that the suspect, who has since been identified as Michael Polanco, of Davie, tried to kidnap the teenager and then fled west away from the gas station."This suspect is from Davie, and why he was in Miramar I don't know, but the message is if you do the crime, one, you shouldn't do it and two, don't come to our city
