News4JAX learned that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported suspicious letter received at the Duval County Courthouse on Oct. 2.According to an incident report, the hazmat team was called out after a woman at the courthouse opened a character witness letter and reported feeling side effects.PREVIOUS STORY | JSO on the scene of investigation at Duval County CourthouseShe reported eye irritation, dizziness, a headache, red palms and a rash after opening the letter. The letter was placed in a plastic bag until Jacksonville Fire Rescue and JSO arrived and performed a field test that revealed negative results.
