New York’s attorney general has reopened a criminal investigation into a Cornell University sexual assault case centered on a former student, who says she was drugged and raped for several hours inside a fraternity house at the Ivy League university two years ago. Jacksonville-based attorney Millicent Daniels sat down with News4JAX for our latest Justice 4 All segment to have a deeper conversation about allegations of sexual assault on college campuses, the statute of limitations and the responsibility of colleges and universities to keep students safe.The Cornell University Jane Doe, who was 20 years old when the alleged incident occurred, has since filed a civil lawsuit against the seven then-fraternity members and the university. The complaint indicates that two students were expelled following an investigation, and four others were punished but allowed to remain enrolled.
