FARGO — If you're on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin, NDSU's Horticulture Club might have just what you're looking for. They'll have their annual pumpkin sale outside the Memorial Union bookstore, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 22-23. The biggest star of the sale, though, will definitely be a 200-pound pumpkin grown by a researcher on campus. The club's president says it took four people and some smart thinking to get it into their greenhouse. "We kind of faced the challenge of getting it through the doorway. So, a little bit of STEM thinking, we used a rug, rolled it off the pallet, and used the rug to push it into the greenhouse," said Ava Haldorson, president of the NDSU Horticulture Club. ]]>
