Sunshine is on the way, and a few showers will mix in this afternoon!

We started our Thursday with temperatures near 70 degrees and a little patchy fog developing in spots before sunrise. Otherwise, expect plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs climbing into the mid-80s, running well above seasonal averages. We could still see a pop-up shower or two into today, but most neighborhoods will remain dry. Friday brings another warm afternoon near 85 degrees, with a slight chance of isolated showers ahead of a shift in our weather pattern. By the weekend, a gradual cooldown gets underway as winds turn more northwesterly, dropping highs into the upper 70s Saturday and mid-70s Sunday. We’re also monitoring continued minor tidal flooding along portions of the St. Johns River basin, particularly around high tide, with a Coastal Flood Advisory affecting portions of Putnam and western Flagler counties.
